[birdky] BKY: Lexington/Spindletop

 BKY: Lexington/Spindletop

Jim Williams led the Lexington (Aud. Soc. of KY) group = on a wonderful
birding walk this morning at Spindletop--a UK = agricultural research
facility at exit 115 of I75/64. (Gates are = generally closed on the
weekend--but I've been told that one of the = gates is usually open during
the week.)

[Please forgive the =3D signs that seems to crop up in my emails--they = are
an artifact of using Microsoft Outlook email.]

The brushy wetland area was alive with birds. At least seven species of =
sparrows. There were tons of Lincoln's--we identified around 8-10, and = I'm
sure there were lots more. Nice looks at rc kinglets, palm warblers, = a
yellow-rumped, and a beautiful green bird that we only had a couple =
glimpses of, but my guess is Tennessee. But who knows.
