[birdky] BKY Ky Lake

Hap Chambers and I plus three other out of state birders traveled via pontoon today from Cypress Creek to Blood River on Ky. Lake.We observed the following on islands in Ky. Water is up as well as the willow flies.

D-C Cormorants (21 nests counted on one island with one still feeding young)
Black-crowned Night Herons (2 adults and 4 juveniles)
Lesser Scaup (1)
Blue-winged Teal (1)
Wood Duck (1)
Sharp-shinned Hawk (1)
Bald Eagle (1 adult)
Ospreys (10 with at least 6 nests and two nest active)
Killdeer (2)
Laughing Gull (1)
Caspian Terns (2)
Purple Martins (50)
Also RB Gulls, Great B Herons, Mallards, Kingbirds, Cliff Swallows, and a hummer.
