We had a visit from a red tail hawk yesterday. It appears that he is
very interested in the birds that frequent our feeders located in our
side yard. My wife spotted the hawk in one of our river birches just
about 10 feet from our feeders. When I stepped out on the porch the
hawk flew just above the feeders and eyed them for about a minute and
flew off. We have a variety of birds that feed on the feeders, (doves
cardinals, jays and other's), guess a quick meal was in his plans at the
time of sighting. Hope to see him again in the near future. I also
hope he has a taste for starlings and blackbirds on his next visit.
