The following highlights were observed at Long Point:

Snow goose  2500
White-fronted goose 1000
Canada goose  300
Ross's goose 7
Northern shovelers
Mallards
Pintail  1
Ring-necked duck 1
Dark morph red-tailed hawk 1
Bald eagle 12
Two adult bald eagles were perched very close to the eagle nest at Lake #9. They must be thinking about IT .
At Long Point an adult bald eagle landed a snow goose. In a matter of minutes 8 other bald eagles jostled around the meal in hopes of a morsel. An immature had to be satisfied with smelling the remaining feathers.
