I decided to paddle up to check out the Fishing Creek mudflats (Lake Cumberland) today, since the elevation was at 715.28 down nearly 5' from summer pool. Some fairly good mudflats are developing. Least Sandpiper 1 Spotted Sandpiper 1 Killdeer approx. 60 (complaining and playing patty cake on the mud) Young Wood Ducks (hiding in the buttonbush) The only herons were Great Blue and Green. ~Roseanna Denton Science Hill, KY Pulaski County
