The retention basin off of Grade Lane here in Louisville continues to produce 
a fine array of water birds. Highlights for Saturday and Sunday, August 26-27 
are:

Great Egrets
Green Heron
Black-cr. Night Heron
Semipalmated Plover (1 on Sunday)
Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs
Spotted Sandpiper
Sanderlings (2 on Sunday)
Semipalmated Sandpipers
Least Sandpipers
Baird's Sandpiper (1 on Saturday)
Pectoral Sandpipers
Buff-breasted Sandpiper (1 on Sunday)
Short-billed Dowitchers
Least Terns (2 on Saturday)
