[birdky] BKY: Birding at Mammoth Cave NP

On Sunday, July 1 we traveled to Mammoth Cave National Park to look for 
summer residents. The weather was great and the birds were super. Highlights of the 
day include:

Wild Turkeys - one hen with four babies
E. Wood-Pewee
Acadian Flycatcher
Phoebes feeding four little ones in their nest
Gr. Crested Flycatcher
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Wood Thrush
Gray Catbird
White-eyed and Red-eyed Vireos
Twelve species of warblers - Parula, Prairie, Cerulean, Black-and-white, 
Prothonontary, Worm-eating, Ovenbird, La. Waterthrush, Kentucky, C. Yellowthroat, 
Hooded and Chat
Scarlet Tanager
Blue Grosbeaks
Indigo Bunting
Chipping Sparrow

We tallied 50 species in all. A great day to be birding,
