[birdky] Aug. 22 Green River & Casey Creek, Adair Co.

Green River Lake is down a little over a foot below summer pool. The mudflats at the Green River backwaters and Casey Creek are developing and beginning to attract a few birds.

Solitary Sandpiper 3 GR 4 CC
Spotted Sandpiper 6 GR 2 CC
Semipalmated Sandpiper 2 juv GR 4 juv CC
Least Sandpiper 22 GR 3 CC (mostly juv)
Pectoral Sandpiper 1 GR
Stilt Sandpiper 1 juv CC
Short-billed dowitcher 1 GR 1 CC both juv.
Black Tern 1 juv CC
Prothonotary Warbler 2
waterthrush species (I could never get a good look through the willow tree.)
