[birdky] Re: A question about bluebird feeding

It may be cheaper to buy mealworms in bulk, but they're not cheap either.
The net stores sell bluebird pellets, but they're just as expensive as local
stores, maybe more so. Birder's digest usually has an ad, from a company in
Ohio, that sells mealworms. As for the squirrels, try a dome (the squirrels
just chewed one of mine right off the hanger!), or a square of metal that
tilts above the feeder, or sprinkle hot sauce or peppers on the food...birds
can't detect it but squirrels hate it! Lotsa luck!

Subject: [birdky] A question about bluebird feeding

wondering if there is a way to purchase bluebird pellets in bulk? Places
like WildBird have them in small quantities, but they are expensive,
especially since raccoons, chipmunks and the like tend to grab what I put
out. Any suggestions?
