[birdky] 3 June Horseshoe Rd. slough; 4 June Sloughs: Hardy Slough Henderson Co.

3 June Horseshoe Road slough
7AM Overcast misty & drizzle
The fields surrounding the slough is all planted with beans and corn  
coming up.
I parked in the grass on the first left off of Horseshoe road and  
walked in to the NW corner; between the corn and bean fields.
Walked the entire length again.

Highlights only:
Great blue heron
Canada goose
Mallard family
Wood duck family
Hooded merganser family
Semi. plovers 20
Killdeer 20
White-rmpd sndpprs 27
Dunlin 1
Semi. sndpprs 70
Least tern 1 pair


Missing: Surf scoter, Lesser scaup, Black-bellied plovers

4 June Hardy Slough & 268 slough
6 AM clear

Mallard family
Semi. plovers at 268 slough
Dunlin 1 at 268 slough
Semi. sndppr at 268 slough
Blackpoll warber between Hardy parking area and "shorebird unit"



The "shorebird unit" is very grown up in plants and is not very good  
for seeing any shorebirds.
