Hi All, As Lynda and I were keeping the first list today for the Great Backyard Bird Count we were pleasantly surprised to see our first Fox Sparrow of the winter. It showed up just in time for the count. A Couple of other good birds on the list were a male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and a Red-shouldered Hawk. The hawk glided right across the road in front of us really showing off its striking colors and markings, as we neared home after running some errands. Here is a photo of the Fox Sparrow followed by our day's list.
