Every fall I keep records of the birds that
migrate through our property here on Compton Mt. I just
finished compiling the numbers for 2011 from August 23 to
October 15. I couldn't watch birds every day but I had 41
days of actual observation. A total of 66 species
and 2036 birds passed through with
24 species being warblers. Below is the list of species in
order of abundance. Some birds may have been counted twice
if they were present for more than one day. There was no way
to determine if that might be the case.
