[bcab] Re: word 2007, should we get militant?

That may be fine for you, Steve, but us poor sighted guys
are going to have to learn how to use a screen reader.

The keystrokes may indeed work as they did on Office 2003,
but visually it looks like something your guide dog left in
the field. Anyone who works in an office with sighted users
of Office 2007 will probably appreciate what I'm saying.

George.

Hi Guy,

Why should we get millitant? Office 2007 is no less
accessible than 2003, in fact. I suspect this is just
resistance to change.

All the best

Steve

Well thank goodness I haven't got ms. office 2007 then! But
instead of individuals complaining would it be better if the
society (i.e. bcab) complained as a whole through its
committee? Also what about individual letters to the press
and computer magazines, particularly from sighted members
like George? If Microsoft wonh't be reasonable themselves,
let's embarrass them into doing something.

Guy
