Hi Marvin,

The first link I found when Googling for ".asx file player" gave me the
following:

The information which might be of use to you is quite a long way down
the page but if you hit 1 to navigate to header level one then number 2
to reach header level two, you will then need to cursor past a Google
advertising frame and there is your detail.

It seems that .asx files are no more than the equivalent of .m3u files
and are often formatted incorrectly.  Another issue might be that you
don't have all of the codecs you need and may have to re-install the
codec set.

HI.
now for some stupid reason cannot play .asx from streams for radio
stations.
had this problem on my toshiba a300 satellite psa g4a machine.
can play mp3s. but not .asx files.
gets a error all the time.
so how to fix this.
uninstall windows media player or download some codex. using windows
vista 
home premium.
jaws 10, internet explorer 7.
any help would be fine if you have run into this problem before and this
is 
the only media player.
