For good examples of how text can be used instead of maps see Terry
Robinsons describe on-line site.

The point I was making is that text (where applicable) is best for blind
users. Of course a computer will always have graphics for sighted people
but it will always be easier for blind people to read text rather than
graphics. I don't think maps would be suitable to turn into text although a
flow chart certainly could.

If we believe in justice then why are people in Gwantanamo being held
without trial and probably being tortured?

Hi,

I certainly disagree with the notion that text is best. There are many
times when blind people benefit greatly from graphics, whether it be
understanding a flow chart, a tactile map or countless other things.
Text is often very good, but diagrams can be even more helpful. I
think it very important that people have the skills to read them.

Cheers
Dave
