A good point.
That is why a couple of years ago the Rail Passengers Council (now
Passengerfocus) arranged for tactile maps and Describe-online for Euston and
Paddington stations. If anyone uses either of these stations and hasn't
tried either facility, you might find it helpful to do so. The
describe-online descriptions are on the website and a copy of the tactile
map in each case should be available from the customer services office.
It would be interesting and helpful to have some feedback on this. If that
would be considered too far off topic on the list, I would be pleased to
have feedback off list.
The rail industry did not take up further work in this regard as much as had
been hoped, but there is Describe-online descriptions for Glasgow, Leeds,
Manchester Piccadilly and Cardiff stations.
