Hi,
Have you checked to see if Vista drivers are available on the manufacturer's
website? These are very popular products.
Philips do a solution that allows you to plug the base station into the router
(using RJ45 connection) as well as the standard BT socket, and this can connect
and sign into Skype on the phone itself. There is apparently also a web
interface where you can configure some options. Not sure overall how
accessible this this.
I personally just use a headset on the computer itself, but I do make a lot of
landline calls with Skype. Since we upgraded the network at the beginning of
the month, and put in a new Cisco firewall, we have had some issues with Skype,
but I think this is because machines cannot connect directly to Skype running
on my machine. I am trying to sort this out, with finding exactly how Skype
tries to connect to your PC.
Andrew.

Subject: [bcab] skype and landline phones
Hi all.
I currently have a phone allowing me to connect to skype and also to my
landline. It plugs into the USB port of my PC and into the telephone socket on
the wall. It is called the Dualphone I think. It does not, however work with
Vista. I am trying to find an accessible solution that will allow me to take
both skype and landline calls on the same phone. Ideally it should be a
cordless phone and it needs to work with Vista.
Anyone any ideas?
Regards
Graham
