[bcab] Re: sky.com website

Well I've resorted to doing it that way Martin but the problem with the
accessible tv listing is that you can't just search for a program. You at
least have to know what channel it's on and then it's cumbersome trying to
navigate to the appropriate channel. If the normal TV guide would work
properly that would definitely be the easiest way to go.

HI.

i go to :

www.sky.com/mysky

then login, then use the tv listings link, then the screen reder link. yes
it's combersom, but doing it the other way, with the usual tv listings is a
pest.

that way you have to:

log in at sky.com/mysky
choose your region.

search for programme,
find programme, right click on it to open it. find remote record, which
doens't look like button at all. right click on that, look for confirmation.
then click close.

Subject: [bcab] sky.com website

Hi Folks. Been having troubles on and off with sky.com since December and it
finally came to a head today and I contacted sky.

I was just emailing to see if it was me or whether it's just an accessibility
issue? The problems I have are as follows:

1. The "My Sky" portion of their website seems to indicate that my region is
set to London when you use the regular TV guide but if I look at the
screenreader version my region is listed correctly. Either way I press enter
on the link that says change region or whatever it is but nothing happens.
2. When I do a search for something more often than not it says "Loading Data"
and the only way I can get it to show me the information is to refresh the
screen using insert and Escape.
3. if I manage to get a list of programs to come up with a search I click the
expand link to get to the remote record and either I can't seem to find the yes
and no button or I'm told that I've been logged out and must log in again.

I actually went through remote recording on the screenreader version and got it
to work just fine but trying to get to the channel you wish to record from can
be very cumbersome. I think the guy who was giving me support got a harsh
reality check today about how quickly you can move around the accessible TV
guide. I've told him that if we had the capacity to search either by channel
or program subject this would be very good. He's going to come back to me on
it and somebody will contact me so we'll see what happens but I just wondered
if anyone else has been really struggling with this?
