Hi, Kerry
Yes, I?ve had similar experiences with both sites. As well as not getting
any further on the main site than the message, ?loading??, I am also
regularly asked to enable Java and/or Javascript ? both of which are
enabled!
If a search option were added to the screenreader version, this would solve
all problems, I think!
I wish you better luck with Sky support than I have had in the past where I
seem only to get platitudes and a vague statement that site design/fixing is
something high on their agenda!!!

Subject: [bcab] sky.com website
Hi Folks. Been having troubles on and off with sky.com since December and
it finally came to a head today and I contacted sky.
I was just emailing to see if it was me or whether it's just an
accessibility issue? The problems I have are as follows:
1. The "My Sky" portion of their website seems to indicate that my region
is set to London when you use the regular TV guide but if I look at the
screenreader version my region is listed correctly. Either way I press
enter on the link that says change region or whatever it is but nothing
happens.
2. When I do a search for something more often than not it says "Loading
Data" and the only way I can get it to show me the information is to refresh
the screen using insert and Escape.
3. if I manage to get a list of programs to come up with a search I click
the expand link to get to the remote record and either I can't seem to find
the yes and no button or I'm told that I've been logged out and must log in
again.
I actually went through remote recording on the screenreader version and got
it to work just fine but trying to get to the channel you wish to record
from can be very cumbersome. I think the guy who was giving me support got
a harsh reality check today about how quickly you can move around the
accessible TV guide. I've told him that if we had the capacity to search
either by channel or program subject this would be very good. He's going to
come back to me on it and somebody will contact me so we'll see what happens
but I just wondered if anyone else has been really struggling with this?
