I do not use Braille with my PC, I have a BrailleNote notetaker.
Not sure if Kurzweil would be best for a Braille user or Open
Book.
Kurzweil seems to have more features than Open Book, such as
converting text to MP3 etc or a DAISY format book.
A new scanner will probably be USB and just plug into the USB
port of your laptop.
