Yes, Total recorder is great - particularly as it doesn't get the
screenreader.

Subject: [bcab] recording what you hear on a PC
Hi all.
I know that with my main desktop PC I can record what I hear. this is useful
for recording bbc programmes so I can keep them or recording bits of other
stuff. Probably technically not lawful but lets face it who hasn't recorded
something off the radio in the past? It's also useful for things like
recording a bit of someone's stream to give them an idea of what their internet
broadcast sounds like.
How can I do this on a PC with a sound card that does not have a record what
you hear feature? This is not available on my laptop or oon my netbook for
example.
I know at one time there was a application called Total Recorder. Is this
still available? Is this the best way of recording what you hear?
Regards
Graham
