Hello Simon
admittedly my version is very old, about version 4.3 or something like that,
so maybe the later versions are configured differently, but as far as I know
you can still download the old version from their website.
cheers

Hello Simon
as others have said goldwave works fine for this. I use it a lot. what you
need to do to set your input sound source is within goldwave, go into the
options menu, cursor down to controls, hit enter, you will be in the first
of several property sheets. nowuse control and tab keys to cycle through
the property sheets until you go into the volume property sheet. it is in
this sheet that you set the sound source. on older versions of goldwave the
first setting is for stereo mix. there is a check to check with the space
bar, then tab down to the ok button and press enter. you will now be able
to record anything and everything going through your sound card, so while
using your screen reader it will be picked up as well. what i do is set up
goldwave with a new sound ready, then with goldwave still running go to the
internet site and stream you want and find the link to activate the sound
you are interested in. having found your link just switch back to goldwave
using the alt and tab switch and set your recording going with control and
f9 keys. then switch back to the link you are going to activate, turn off
your syntheser voice and activate the link. when you have finished switch
you synth back on and switch back to goldwave to stop the recording with the
control and f8 keys. to get good recordings your input sound from the net
should not be too loud, so you can adjust these volume controls in the
windows volume setttings which you will find in accessories, entertainment,
volume. good luck.

Goldwave will do it, and it perfectly accessible. However you need to
ensure that your soundcard's
recording settings are correctly set up, if you are going to record from
the internet (or any
source which represents wave audio).
Try going into your Windows sound mixer's recording control settings
Windows R, then sndvol32 /r
Set the selected channel to be wave (AKA "stereo mix" with onboard
soundcards, or "what u hear" on
soundblasters).
Then start your internet sound source, start goldwave again and try
recording again. It might work!

hello list,
I am looking for an accessible program to record internet streaming audio. I
would prefer 1 that
will record in wav, mp3 and wma, if possible, but this is not essential.
I have heard that goldwave can do it, but no matter what I do, I can't get
goldwave to record the
internet audio, so can only assume the person who told me it could was
wrong.
