[bcab] problem with USB Mic

Hi folks

A while ago I purchased a Samson USB broadcast quality Microphone.

when I try to record a podcast in stereo, or do live streaming in stereo, the 
mic only comes through the left channel.

Samson support says that this can't be changed as it's a mono mic.

is this correct and is there any work around so that the mic comes through both 
channels.

Or have I got to go and purchase another mic.
