It is certainly usable without sight. I wouldn't call it accessible. Regards Tim----- Original Message ----- From: "Jane Sellers" <jane@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Dear TimWhere can you buy this model of radio? is it suitable for someone with no sight like me?from Jane----- Original Message ----- From: "Tim Gebbels" <tim@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <bcab@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, July 29, 2009 10:58 PM Subject: [bcab] Re: pocket sized digital radioHi Dean. yes, the Pure Move does have an external aerial. for me personally it would score over the Ministry of Sound model because of its built in speaker. Often times listening on headphones is a pain I find. It's a DAB tranny in effect.Regards Tim----- Original Message ----- From: "Dean Wilcox" <wilcoxdean@xxxxxxxxxxx>To: <bcab@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, July 29, 2009 7:16 PM Subject: [bcab] Re: pocket sized digital radioI have had my Ministry of Sound DR011 radio for a long time as I said before. Has anyone tried that and also the Pure Move who can compare things such as signal strength as it does sound equally accessible. At 11:18 29/07/2009, you wrote:Amazon are selling this model for around £67 and one of their market place associates is selling refurbished ones for just under £50 including P&P.Regards, Phil Medway ICT accessibility developer Deployment team Core ICT Oxfordshire County Council <http://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk> Tel: 01869 347639 Mobile: 07980 519990 Save money and paper - do you really need to print this email? -----Original Message-----From: bcab-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bcab-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jackie CairnsSent: 29 July 2009 10:48 To: bcab@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bcab] Re: pocket sized digital radio Hi I have this radio, and while it's not the smallest DAB radio on the market, it's probably still one of the best. It has a built-in speaker, the battery life, as Gordon says, is approximately 40 hours, and it has FM which is equally as good as DAB. There are 10 presets you can use, and I do have an article that describes the layout of the radio and how to preset it if you would like me to send it to you off list. You can get the Move from RNIB, Tapesense, and probably places like Argos. Not sure whether it is still available or not. The battery life is good - approximately 40 hours. A friend of mine has one, so, if you need any further info, I can ask.
