Hi all.
I have a PC here with windows vista and have found that JAWS does not work at
all well with Windows Live Email. there is no support for reading whether a
message is or is not unread or whether or not it has attachments. Windows Mail
is not encourage and I have had a lot of problems with it crashing if there are
a lot of messages to download so I have decided to go for Outlook.
I do not want Outlook to send messages straight away, I want them in the
outbox until I feel I want to send them. Likewise, I do not want Outlook to
check for messages at start up or at given periods. I just want it to send and
receive when I issue a command to do so.
Also, on one machine, can I set up Outlook to only delete messages from the
server when I empty the Deleted Messages folder? I am using Outlook 2003.
There are loads of different areas where these settings could be and there
seems a lack of consistency or propper thought in the placement of some of
these options so any help much appreciated.
Another thing that has kept me away from outlook is sending of some kinds of
attachments such as .exe files. I understand Outlook 2003 blocks some of these
attachments and will not let you send them. Is there a way round this or, in
windows vista is there a basic email client that JAWS actually supports?
Regards
Graham
