[bcab] Re: latest on Opticbook3600

Hi John,

Yes indeed. I always recommend downloading drivers from the web site,
because they are often newer than the CD versions.

Yes, you are right, Steve. I did install from the disc they supplied. I seem
to think that in an earlier comment, you recommended downloading direct from
the website rather than buying version 8.0 in disc form. Is that your
recommendation?
John

Hi Dorothy,

Sprint is just a cut down version of Fine Reader. It comes on the Opticbook
CD, but if you install the drivers directly from their download site, you
can totally ignore it as I did. I assume that John installed from the CD,
and hence installed Sprint, at which point, it took over.

steve can you explain what the Sprint thing is really there for, it is a
bit confusing for example a person like me using Kurzweil11 JFW8 Xp Home I.E
7 under what circumstances would I have a use for it. I am using an Epson
3490 Scanner and an Hp Laser Printer. Does it have anything to do with
Jaws? How can I get rid of it please as simply as you can tellme Dorothy.
Thank you. Ps John got a bargain though didn't he by using it just once as
a trade in? Look at how much he would have had to pay at Street Value
Dorothy
