Many thanks for your advice. In fact I did a check and flash player was
unchecked. I tried again, but found and pressed a button saying unabelled, and
I was somehow taken to an area where I was asked to perform a something for an
activation. Once I did this, youtube worked fine. However, a different site,
full of old Italian songs which I like a lot, appears blocked, and will
probably need to catter with a sighted person, for, I cannot find somewhere, an
"open with" option, by which I might choose a player, or see the problem.
Many thanks again,
Takis

Now I E 8 does give problems, but assuming Jaws 9 is the same as Jaws 10 in
this.
Get into I E, then start the Jaws config manager.
(That's the Jaws key + 6 on the number row.
Go to set options menu, and select html options.
Push ctrl + tab till you get to the misc page. On that page there will be
the option to ignore flash. Make sure this is unchecked, then tab down to OK
and save it.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [bcab] java issues and activex
Hi all,
I have a problem I would like some advice, if possible and easily applicable.
I have jaws 10 and ie8. Though a sighted friend set up activex to work, it
seems not working. When I go to some sights, I get a click, sound I mean, and
a message to the effect that in order to use the sight, I must have java turned
on, or the latest version of flash player. I have a feeling I have the latest
of flash player, but even so, how should I turn java on, or what should I do?
This situation does not allow me to listen something from youtube, which
interests me only with regard to music, not the video. Also, I sometimes get
the info I need to turn activex on. Is there an easy way of doing all this, if
I have made myself intelligible?
Any help appreciated.
Cheers,
Takis
