Hello everyone
Spam does seem to be increasing, even for home users, and I have recommended
using a spam blocker program previously on this list. I use Cloudmark from
www.cloudmark.com
but there are others out there. These programs give you an extra spam
folder in your e-mail client when you install them, and you just go into it
and check what is there, deleting the spam and, if they have made a mistake
and put something you trust in there, you can unblock it.
Cloudmark is fairly accessible using JAWS, and is recommended as a best buy
by the Consumers Association. I can't recommend Spamfighter, a Danish
product, as it is not accessible at all with JAWS.
I don't think you should ever open these messages. Just delete anything you
think is strange, and they all sound pretty odd, as the subject line is
often misspelled or contains a lot of odd characters.
With a virus checker, anti-spyware and spam blocker you should have a pretty
secure computer, and I do think spam blockers are becoming more of a must
have.
All the best.
Wendy

Folks,
I get a lot of stuff like this as well, but only on my office address, not
this one.
Funny thing is, as Graham says, it is hard to work out what is in it for the
spammer. The messages are not obviously pornographic nor do they try to sell
things. The texst often seems to be random snatches of narrative, fairy
stories or other usually incomprehensible phrases, as if taken at random
from some internet source. Some times I have eight or ten of these in a
row, and they are increasing.
John

Hi all.
I seem to have had a lot of spam recently like the message below. but I
don't see how this kind of message can even be of benefit to the spammer.
If I get messages inviting penis enlargement then if I am stupid enough to
believe the claims made then I can of course click on the provided linkk. I
know the companies work on the theory that if they send enough messages out
a very few people will respond. Messages like the one below just clutter my
inbox. Is there a latest spammers trick I am unaware of here?
Regards
Graham
