It could be bord or processer or case or all of the above. I wouldn't continue investing money in the machine at this point, just strip it for parts, get whatever data you need and grab a new system.

Hi all, I wonder if anyone can shed light on my problem. I have an ATX midi
tower which suddenly just stopped working, i.e. I switched it on and
absolutely nothing happened, not even a PSU fan.  I decided the PSU had
died, and have sourced another one which I installed.  This PSU powers
itself up, but nothing else works except the fan on the chip.  The CD and
DVD drives don't even have power to open.  So I have checked the power
supply cables, and they are all producing the correct voltage, so the new
PSU seems ok.
Any ideas welcomed!
