[bcab] Re: equivalent of the 9210 for Jane

Hi Jane,

Roger here and not Andrew.

Symbian series 60 is the foundation software for mobile speak. Any other that works is pure luck and/or guesswork. Codefactory supply a list of phones on their website if you are interested and they can send you updates if you want to keep in touch with them.

Hi,

The E90 works with both MobileSpeak and Talks, though i have only used mine with the later. It has a fold out keyboard as well as a number pad. I posted about it last night. Both the keyboards work with Talks.

Don't bother with the N93/95 as they are no longer being sold by Nokia, and will cost more on the Talks license as they are series 80.

Thanks.
Andrew.

Hi Guy,

As the folks have already said, the 9300 and 9500 are probably what you're looking for. Apparently the E90 is the latest in that range of phones though people here may have stated differently. I can't say with any conviction whether the E90 has a fold out keyboard, however, it does not work with Mobile Speak and as for Talks, I'm not sure on that.

Roger

What's the modern equivalent of the old mobile phone the 9210, the one with the phone keypad on the front and which folds out like a book to give access to a qwerty keyboard? A friend of mine not on the list is wanting to replace her old 9210.
 Guy
