[bcab] Re: ccessible PDF Reader

Nigel, that's not what Home Page Reader is - it's not specific to PDF files. But someone asked how to get it, so I told them.
At least ADobe REader has the Read Out Loud option these days, and some useful zoom facilities for low-vision people, so at least it's sort-of usable. Much of the rest of it is down to people constructing decent PDFs.

It's really not a very humane solution to have to learn and use another screen reader just to access one type of document. Why don't Adobe do a proper job and make there products as accessible as they can be by default.

IBM have a program called Home Page Reader this will read pdf files.
i cant seem to find the link to it on IBMs site, but i used a trial of it about 1 year ago and it was really good.
