Alexander, if you want a little more informatrtion, you first have to
allow sharing of the folders. Highlight the folder required, push the
applications key, and there should be a menu item: Sharing and Security.
Checking the appropriate box in here should allow sharing between
computers, and the folder icon should appear in My Network Places...
Asuming yur set-up is similar to mine.
The other machine shuld then be able to see it and you can copy and
paste.

Thank you for your reply.
While I Understand exactly what you have said in your message, and would
use
Copy and paste whether I did the transfer myself, or did it with sighted
assistance, I would eventually want to delete the contents of the "my
Documents folder on the D:\ of the Acer machine, however, I would not do
this until I was certain that all the data I wanted to move had been
copied
to the HP machine.
