[bcab] Re: advice on the format of a document to be downloaded from a website

I am sure that my church is similar to many, in that those producing the
newsletter are pretty technologically illiterate, and only know what they
know. Unless you can offer to help them by actually putting work in
yourself, they will not be able to change. This is the voluntary sector!

Hi Alex,

one by-product of the production of the Guide Cats CD's is that you can
sometimes put in a good word along the way for this sort of thing. I've
just bagged and received a poem from the Archbishop of Canterbury for the
next volume, and have suggested to Lambeth Palace that they look at
welcoming disabled people, and embed the principles of inclusion into all
levels of the C of E, starting by visiting the guidelines on meeting the
needs of disabled churchgoers at www.throughtheroof.org. If you are
worshipping at an Anglican church, I will ask where you could send
suggestions on access to parish notices, service sheets, etc, to see if they
can get this mainstreamed into Church practices, starting from the top
down...unless, of course, our president tells us that Torch Trust are
already doing this.

Best,
Clive

Hi Clive,

Thanks for that information, as, not only does the newsletter get produced
in publisher, but the Church treasurer's report gets produced the same way,,
and its the only report I couldn't get an electronic copy of for the last
church AGM

I'll have a word with the relevant people at church and see what I can
advise them.
