John
When I was working for my local hospital in the Personnel Department I met
quite a lot of track changes, and with a screenreader they are a nightmare.
Everything gets spoken, and it really does get very confusing. What you
need is a sighted Secretary who can sort it all out. I suppose it is a
better way of doing things than making draft documents like we used to do
when we only had typewriters, but it is certainly very difficult for a blind
person.

Subject: [bcab] accessing track changes using jaws
Dear All,
I am a member of another mailing list for visually impaired lawyers.
A colleague on that list raised an interesting query relating to accessing
track changes in documents using jaws.
What happens is that a document passes back and forwards between lawyers who
make additions or deletions. The difficulty a visually impaired lawyer
encounters is identifying what changes have been made and whether they are
proposed additions or deletions.
If this is an appropriate question for this list, any assistance would be
much appreciated, if it is not a permissible enquiry, then just ignore it.
