Well it was a bit of a long shot and as I am not familiar with the site I can't really offer any other useful advice.
Maybe there is a way of reversing what you have done, but it's not obvious yet?

Darren, I tried your suggestion of deleting cookies and then going back to the site, but although I had to re-enter my e-mail address and password, it said welcome back, and did not give me the option of seeing the person I was looking for.
