I have a similar question with regard to Supernova 10. I would like if it read
the Word count in Microsoft Word but it goes through everything, numb er of
characters, number of lines, number of pages etc when all I want is the word
count.

It usually reads automatically, but if it isn't doing this for you, try
Jaws key b, when the Word Count dialogue window is open. Hope this helps.

Subject: [bcab] Word count
Hi all
Is there a way of getting Jaws 9 to read out a word count in Word 2003
without reverting to the Jaws keys? As it stands, I go into tools/word count
and all I get is the close button announced.
Cheers
Barry
