[bcab] Re: Windows utilities

Hi Chris,

This could be a registry problem, I actually started having these problems when
I installed the latest version of Skype and now have error messages coming up
when Jaws starts and when I make a Skype call. Essentially Jaws runs in demo
mode unless I re-initialize it via menu / utilities / re-initialize Jaws. As
for Skype it comes up with the error message which is pretty long winded and I
have to either send it off or de-bug and then Skype bombs out. Skype is running
with a handset. I think the other alternative is, possibly a conflict of some
sorts, but I thought XP resolved those issues?

Hi

if you have the original Xp disk there is an option to repair rather than
reinstall. Reinstalling an operating system will wipe all the data from the
hard drive.

I don't know the nature of your problems but it may be a registry problem.

More information about what is happening may help to resolve your issues.

Kind regards

The best way forward here is to re-install XP Pro on top of itself. But
backup all your data first.

George.

Morning all,

Does anyone have or know where I can get my hands on a free Windows XP Pro
repair utility? My Windows is giving trouble and I think I have some
corrupted files or certainly some cleaning out. I have done all the usual
disk cleanups etc but still have strange problems.

Looking forward to some help,
