I don't think there is a solution. Microsoft did say that you wouldn't be able 
to use the service unless you upgraded to the latest version of Windows Live 
Messenger.

Hello,

For some reason windows live messenger 2008 will not let me sign in anymore 
without upgrading to the new messenger 2009 version. 

I have tried  re-installing but still have the same issue.

I am using JAWS 9 & as far as I know the chat window is not accessible in 
windows messenger 2009.

Please has anyone experienced this and does anyone have any solutions? Thanks 
in advance.
