[bcab] Re: Windows Live Hotmail and Supernova

Thanks Susan,

Using your advice I have figured out the following for anyone
interested.

In the inbox you can tab to messages or use the links list and open them
as normal, however, on the message page, focus skips the message body
area in Auto Virtual Focus mode, using both TAB and Arrow Keys.
Switching to Virtual Focus manually (NumPad Minus) sets the focus to the
title bar (or the last object selected in virtual focus), then using the
arrow keys you can navigate to the message body, but you have to move
through menu bar, toolbar, scrollbar buttons, status bar etc, and all
page elements (which are not all logically ordered).

Replying to the message, use the reply link, then, as you said, you need
to use the plain text link and the page reloads. Then you can use DK+E
to move through form fields, TAB or arrow keys, to get to the message
body. The cursor seems to end up in the middle of the original message
rather than above it though. CTRL+HOME sets focus to top of page, not
top of edit area, so cursor up to get to the top of the edit area, write
reply, then use the send link.

Although this works it's a bit messy and time consuming and I'm still
learning supernova, so if anyone has any tips to make the process easier
or faster please let me know.

Regards,

Steve F

I have the same problem with jaws 9 and the only work around so far is:
first click or press enter on "show plain text", this should take you to
:
Show rich text
table end

Message body

then the edit where I press enter to put the form field on,
type my message,
take the forms field off and use the links list to find the send link

it's a pain in the *** and if they don't fix it soon I'll be packing
hotmail in too.
