Hi Kevin,
In my experience, JAWS seems to speak the first entry that it lands on when you
open a folder with Details checked, giving all the information on the line.
After that, as you arrow down the list, it only reads the file name unless you
specifically ask it to read the current line. The full details are displayed
on the braille display.
Regards,
Tim

Subject: [bcab] Windows Explorer in JAWS and Window-Eyes
Hi
When I use Windows Explorer with Window-Eyes and check the Details option in
the View menu, Window-Eyes reads all the details pertaining to that file or
folder - time, date, file size, etc.
However, when I do this with JAWS, it only reads the file name.
I've tried using the Untruncate Columns option CTRL+NUM PAD PLUS, but this
doesn't seem to make any difference.
How can I get JAWS to read all the file information in Windows Explorer.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Kevin
