[bcab] Re: Windows Explorer file rename problem.

Thanks to Phil, Dave and others who suggested some ideas. Phil, it's
possible that you're right about this. I haven't had time to test it
thoroughly, but it could be Jaws with the virtual cursor.

Hi Tink,

This is a bit of a shot in the dark but I have experienced some strange
focus issues which I think may be down to changes with the virtual cursor
auto feature in Jaws 10.

I have a feeling that, whatever heuristics Freedom Scientific is using to
automatically switch the virtual cursor may not be working perfectly yet.

I sometimes find that instead of entering simple characters as I expect, I
am actually issuing a string of navigation key commands.

I haven't managed to pin this behaviour down to something specific enough to
report to SF yet but it must be related to switching between an HTML view
and an application window.

It would be interesting to know if you only get this problem after being in
some sort of web view.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Subject: [bcab] Windows Explorer file rename problem.

I've got a strange problem with Windows Explorer and haven't been
able to figure out a solution. Hoping someone on list might have some bright
ideas.

If I try to rename a file, Windows times out whilst I'm typing the
new file name and refreshes the window. So I'll get as far as typing the
first few characters of the file name, then have to find the file again, and
start the rename process over. The same thing happens when I create a new
file also.
