George, thank you for your reply. I will have a look at the link you have given, but the problem is that although I do have access to another laptop, for various complex reasons, which I won't go into in detail on list, swapping everything to the other laptop and then back again just for the sake of some lost messages, would honestly be too much work. Please can you clarify, (off list if you prefer), if I have understood you correctly, and you are suggesting that I stop using my laptop for e-mail until I have run the utility you have provided the link for, or whether you are suggesting that I stop receiving messages from the BCAB list on this machine until I have looked into the link you have provided?
Also, based on the answer to the above question, is it really worth my looking at the link you have provided, if using a second PC is going to be more difficult than just letting those messages go?
The other question that comes to mind, (which is actually a question for someone like the BCAB list moderator), is the following. Could I not download messages from the BCAB list archives, and if so, how can I go about this?
