Rosemary when Moorfields became a Foundation hospital 2 years ago did you take up membership? If you became a Member you would have a Representative. I have one, as it happens he had worked in business and had the sort of experience I though would help. He has tried to take forward some issues I have just had the News Focus for March, seems they so 4th last they had their second Open day and the report says that over 700 people attended and toured the hospital fully. I have tried to ask if any person in my part of the country goes perhaps with a family member driving and I would pay for the transport costs of us however I cannot get this kind of feedback I do not know where you are Rosemary you may have wanted to do the same. I think once you emailed me off list but since I switched to Zen my Address book is a bit uncertain If it was you it was a very odd Email address, was it about glare and bright lights? Agree absolutely!

But then, this is Moorfields we are talking about.

They can't even be arsed to make their annual meetings
accessible to people with vision disabilities, so what do we
expect?  In general, it seems, the establishment has a
reputation for some grand scientific/medical research expertise,
but their treatment of the (tax-paying) user base lags a long
way behind.  They think that the Social Model of Disability
means installing wheelchair ramps!
