[bcab] Re: Website access: videos that play on entry into the site

I'm currently having the same problem, but its saying that the server is too busy, so I guess they're having their own issues.

For me the site simply refuses to open.  Waiting for a good while produces no effect whatever.

What is the site that you are attempting to access?  Sometimes pressing the Escape key can stop streaming audio but it doesn't always seem to work.  More knowledgeable people than myself might be able to explain why.

Hi all,
 
I would like to make a reasonable suggestion to the web team responsible for the link below.  What should I be saying?  The problem is that as soon as you enter the site, a video clip plays louder than Jaws.  The clip could be anything from two minutes to an hour long, but you can't reasonably be expected to navigate the site whilst it is playing, if you are using speech to do so. 
 
What do I suggest they do so that they can keep the default video clip but provide an option to turn it off, which at present they don't have?  The technical resolution would be helpful, so that I can not only tell them what needs to be done, but also give guidance on how to achieve the solution.
