Hi Brian,

A detection client is only required if your USB stick is not USB and/or the
program you want to run is not U3 compliant.  You can't run a non-U3
compatible program automatically on a U3 drive.

I thought the U3.exe program being present on the USB drive ensured the
program specified somewhere or other on the USB drive would auto run.

You said a detection client is required on the PC.  What is the name of a
typical detection client that would run on the PC?

I really don't know much about U3.exe other than I disabled it on my Sandisk
Titanium series Smart drive.
