Hi Kevin – don’t know a lot about guide so hard to comment on that side other 
than to suggest she could use a text editor such as notepad if guide supports 
this and depending on the complexity of the site and what package it was 
authored in. or alternatively a word processor package with save as html 
feature such as MS Word again if guide supports Word. Not ideal but ok for a 
personal or basic site.

 

I’m interested though that you suggest adobe contribute with a full powered 
screenreader, do you know anything about the usability of this product with 
jaws, windowEyes et al?

Hi 

I've received a query, asking if there's any web authoring software that will 
work with Guide.  I'm guessing that this could pose a problem as Guide is a 
closed system.  I suggested the person should think about using Adobe's 
Contribute with Window-Eyes or JAWS.  However, she can't afford to buy 
Window-Eyes or JAWS.  Perhaps System Access, NVDA or Thunder could be an 
option. 

Somebody has already built her website for her.  Unfortunately, I don't know if 
they simply wrote raw HTML or used a web authoring tool. 

Apologies for the vagueness of this. 

Is there a web authoring tool that will work with Guide?  Are there options for 
editing HTML in Guide or does she need to think about using a different screen 
reader?
