Subject: [bcab] Wanted: Recommendations for a Backup Hard Drive
Hello everyone
My desktop PC running XP Home is getting old but still has
some life in it. I want to get a hard drive to act as a
backup store for my data files and, hopefully, when my PC
does go or get replaced, I won't lose too much of my data.
I would think a capacity of 200 gig would be enough for my
data and a planned library of sound files. However, there
is such a variety of separate units and, I think, some of
them have software to do backups and clever manoeuvres. So,
has anybody got recommendations such as types and
facilities? If there is software involved, what is
accessible. I presume I would connect via USB2 to my PC
and, although my next PC would be a desktop, I do tend to
think that small is beautiful!.
I would appreciate your suggestions.
Karl Farrell
