My card hasn't been debited either and I also was told the end of August but willing to wait untill the end of September before withdrawing my order.

Although an order was placed at Sight Village, Humanware won't debit the
credit card until they ship the Stream.  Still, I believe we were told at
Sight Village that shipping would be by the end of August.  My card hasn't
been debited as of yet, so I think they have missed that deadline.

humanware themselves should sell it.  They were selling it at sight village
at a discount which seems great but my view is if I order something and have to wait months and months for it that is not good and if there really is a 3 
month wait I would be tempted to withdraw my order and wait for a while
until things calm down a bit.  By the time your friend gets his pproduct,
there may be a more interesting option available or on the cards.  I wonder
how people would react if they bought a playstation and were told there was
a four month wait?

Hi.  A friend of mine called yesterday to say he had ordered his stream
but that he wasn't going to get it till December.  I realize that there
may have been a lot of people ordering before the release of this
machine but December?  Is that right?  Seems an awful long wait to me.
If that is the case, who else apart from the RNIB is selling it an at
what price?
