Hi Peter. Have you tried the obvious diagnostic type experiments so as to
isolate the problem? E.G. Can you copy files to other folders on the card?
Does it work if you put the card in a reader - not the Stream itself? Do
other external drives work fine from that same port i.e. it could be a bus
problem at the PC end. Just some thoughts which I expect you've had
already.
Regards
Tim Gebbels

Subject: [bcab] Victor Reader Stream problem
Hi All,
I'm helping a friend with his Stream - I don't have one - but we have
successfully copied DAISY books to the Stream by treating it as a
removable drive, and creating folders, one for each book, in the default
VRDTB folder.
The problem is that despite the fact that it has worked more than once, it
now freezes the computer when you try to create a new folder on the
Stream, or if you try to paste an existing folder into the VRDTB folder.
So, two questions: has anyone seen this behaviour and is there a fix?
and, is there another way to copy DAISY books, e.g. using dedicated Stream
software? Humanware have not been able to help him.
Any thoughts please?
Best,
Peter
