there is I know some companion software you can download for the unit which just walks you through the process of copying files but I must say I have never had this problem with my stream. You may want to try doing a reset if you have not yet tried this. Either remove the battery and put it back or hold the on button down for 10 seconds or so. Maybe you have tried this but it's just a thought anyway. Next step could be to try formatting the SD card I suppose.

Hi All,
I'm helping a friend with his Stream - I don't have one - but we have successfully copied DAISY books to the Stream by treating it as a removable drive, and creating folders, one for each book, in the default VRDTB folder.
The problem is that despite the fact that it has worked more than once, it now freezes the computer when you try to create a new folder on the Stream, or if you try to paste an existing folder into the VRDTB folder.
So, two questions: has anyone seen this behaviour and is there a fix? and, is there another way to copy DAISY books, e.g. using dedicated Stream software? Humanware have not been able to help him. 

Any thoughts please?
